LACC Painter (FT) Union
About The Position
The Painter carries out the day-to-day painting needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC). This role performs journeyman level work throughout LACC, including new construction and tenant improvement, drywall taping, mudding and finishing work, and furniture staining and finishing. Responsibilities also include patching walls, roof repair, fine finishing work, concrete sealing, sign making, and both interior and exterior painting of all surfaces in the facility. The Painter may be required to lend support to other trades, answer guest questions regarding the facility, and maintain proper care of uniform, equipment, and supplies.
Requirements
- Journeyman level painting skills
- Experience with new construction and tenant improvement
- Experience with drywall taping, mudding and finishing
- Experience with furniture staining and finishing
- Experience with patching walls, roof repair, fine finishing work, concrete sealing, and sign making
- Experience with interior and exterior painting of all surfaces
- Ability to answer guest questions regarding the facility
- Ability to maintain proper care of uniform, equipment and supplies
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear
- Ability to frequently use a keyboard/computer/tablet screen for extended periods of time
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds or more
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
- Must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
