About The Position

This role involves performing a range of tasks in the production of transformers, including organizing and identifying components, setting up and operating paint equipment, cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting, applying primer and finish coats, conducting quality checks, and moving materials using various equipment. The position requires adherence to all safety requirements and the company's code of ethics and values.

Requirements

Ability to work within the WEG Code of Ethics & Values.
Able to work over-time as needed.
Resides or plans to reside within reasonable commuting distance--no relocation assistance available for this role.
Has current work authorization for employment in the United States.
Must complete: talent assessment, Job interview, pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Safety Sensitive position: Drug panel includes THC.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Two years prior manufacturing experience.
ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC): Platinum or Gold Level.

Responsibilities

Organize and identify transformer and subcomponents to be painted.
Set-up and operate plural component or other paint equipment.
Clean transformers and sub-assemblies prior to painting through use of sander and cloth.
Wipe off as needed with cleaner or alcohol.
Apply primer as required.
Perform spray painting to paint complete finish coat.
Complete quality check of final paint finish to meet manufacturing procedures and rework/repaint if required.
Move transformer and parts to and from paint booth using overhead hoist, pallet jack and fork-trucks.
Maintain all safety requirements.
