They are a diverse staff of over 90 employees who focus on brightening the day of millions across the country. Their green initiatives include a rooftop solar array and a waste reduction program with company-wide composting. They believe work should be sustainable, rewarding, and fun, with monthly updates from the president and a self-funding profit-sharing program with quarterly payouts. Deneen Pottery is looking for a Painter to join their team.

Requirements

Hand and eye coordination
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to enter daily production information into the computer

Nice To Haves

Prior experience is a plus
A high school diploma or GED is a plus

Responsibilities

Inspect and clean mugs, pulling orders as directed by the Glaze Lead and cleaning any sharp objects off the mugs.
Clean the mugs and inform the Glaze Lead of any flaws or cracking. Remakes/defects may need to be remade.
Paint mug medallions according to special instructions for each work order, using the correct slip color to meet quality standards.
Move completed boards to the prep area for the Glaze Department.
Record completed work orders in File Maker in a timely manner.
Ensure painting goals are met.
Review mugs to ensure the correct color and coverage has been applied to each mug.
Notify the Lead if there are issues that cannot be corrected.
Keep workstation organized and clean, placing waste in the correct buckets.
