About The Position

A growing property management company is looking for painters with at least three years of painting experience to join their team. The position is Monday through Friday with optional weekend overtime, but no on-call hours required. We provide all major holiday’s off additionally; we provide one floating holiday and your birthday off as well. The position is fulltime starting at 8 am and typically ending at 5 pm, medical benefits provided after a probationary period and performance review. Vacation provided after one year with the company along with yearly review and wage adjustment. The position requires you to have and maintain your own vehicle for work and transporting tools and materials. Proof of automobile insurance required. Basic paint tools are required. Bi-weekly gas allowance and monthly tool allowance given. Travel distance is primarily the Valley, Newhall and LA.

Requirements

Previous painting experience.
Reliable transportation that can be used for work purposes.
Proof of legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Drywall wall patching and painting inside of occupied and vacant units. Must be able to cover and leave a unit looking new.
Exterior stucco repairs including small and large patches.
Paint matching and knowledge of which type of paints to use on different surfaces.
Assists in a variety of maintenance and repair work related to the preparation of various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary.
Additional duties may include graffiti removal and painting the common areas of apartment buildings.
Knowledge in mixing, matching, and blending various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties.
Ability to cleanly apply caulking, putties, cement or plaster holes and cracks.
Clean and store tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
Maintains and completes time sheets with detailed notations of work completed.
Other duties may be assigned.
