About The Position

Kibo Property Management is seeking an experienced Painter to join the maintenance team at The Standard White House. We are looking for someone who produces high-quality work, manages time effectively, and works collaboratively to keep the community well maintained. The Painter performs interior and exterior painting and related preparation work throughout the property. Primary responsibilities include preparing and painting vacant apartment units and designated common areas, coordinating work with the make-ready schedule, and maintaining painting supplies, tools, and equipment.

Requirements

  • At least one year of professional painting experience.
  • Knowledge of common painting materials, tools, surface-preparation methods, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, product labels, and safety information.
  • Ability to manage time, work independently, and consistently meet quality and scheduling expectations.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, and consistent attention to work quality.
  • Fair Housing certification or ability to complete employer-provided certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record that meets company and business-auto insurance requirements.
  • Continued eligibility to operate company vehicles, including a golf cart and pickup truck, is an essential requirement of the position.
  • Satisfactory completion of a job-related background check, pre-employment drug screening, and motor vehicle record review, in accordance with applicable law and company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and paint interior spaces in vacant apartment units, common areas, and other designated locations.
  • Prepare surfaces through cleaning, patching, sanding, scraping, priming, and taping, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate painting assignments with the property’s make-ready schedule and complete work within established timelines.
  • Protect flooring, fixtures, appliances, resident property, and surrounding surfaces from damage.
  • Maintain painting tools, equipment, supplies, and inventory in clean and serviceable condition.
  • Properly handle, store, label, and dispose of paints, solvents, and related materials.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Assist with light maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Communicate work status, supply needs, delays, and property concerns to supervisors and team members.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the position.
