Summary of Position The Painter is responsible for maintaining the pristine appearance and functionality of the hotel’s interior and exterior surfaces. This role plays a key part in upholding the luxury standards of The Maybourne Beverly Hills by performing high-quality painting, finishing, and repair work while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional painting experience, preferably in luxury hotels, high-end residences, or commercial properties.
  • Strong knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality results.
  • Ability to mix colors and match finishes accurately.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor and confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, paint, and finish a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, furniture, and fixtures, to the highest standard.
  • Apply techniques such as color mixing, surface preparation, and proper application methods.
  • Sand, patch, and repair surfaces as needed to create smooth and even finishes.
  • Remove old paint or finishes using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Inspect and maintain the integrity of painted surfaces throughout the property.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs promptly to maintain the luxury aesthetic.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with local regulations.
  • Work closely with the Engineering team and other departments to schedule and prioritize tasks while minimizing disruption to guests.
  • Assist in identifying and reporting any areas needing attention beyond painting.
