About The Position

This position supports the Paint Line Team by applying high-quality powder coating using cone, disk, or nozzle-type industrial equipment. The role may involve rotating between stations as needed. The shift is Monday-Thursday from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am, with a pay rate of $18-$20 per hour plus a $2/hr shift differential. Training may initially occur on the first shift.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and shop documentation
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages)
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures
• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions
• Basic problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Quality-focused; continuous improvement mindset
• Able to collaborate professionally with coworkers and customers
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
• Regular standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and handling materials
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly
• Vision requirements: close, distance, color, and depth perception

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Understanding of powder coating, ovens, conveyors, and wash systems preferred
• 1+ year manufacturing or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Start and adjust conveyor and spray equipment.
• Set paint pressure and flow; monitor gauges.
• Hang parts as they come off the line.
• Inspect parts for paint quality (runs, sags, missed areas).
• Adjust spray patterns to correct coating issues.
• Clean paint booths, hooks, grids, and spray equipment.
• Hand-spray parts for touch-ups or rust prevention.
• Mix paint per specifications and adjust consistency.
• Follow SDS and safety requirements.
• Complete other assigned tasks.
