About The Position

Join Lantech as a Painter in our CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. We offer a 4-day work week with overtime opportunities, quarterly profitability bonuses, and numerous opportunities for advancement. Our Painters START at $20.75/hr ($19.75/hr + $1.00/hr for Shift Differential) for the 2nd Shift, which runs Monday - Thursday, 3 pm - 1:30 am. Lantech is the world leader in stretch wrapping technology and also an industry leader in case and tray handling equipment. As a Painter, you will be a critical member of the team supplying painted parts for the assembly of our equipment, directly contributing to the supply line that moves essential goods globally.

Requirements

  • Quality conscious and able to assist team leaders in troubleshooting paint quality issues.
  • Able to drive a fork truck or willing/able to complete Lantech forklift certification.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
  • Able to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to self-identify problems and support problem-solving/solutions.
  • Has a sustained record of good attendance.
  • Able to stand for 9.5 hours each day.
  • High aptitude for manufacturing-related situations, effective use of time, and adaptability to a varied work environment.
  • Practices safe work habits individually and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Team-oriented individual with good interaction/communication skills.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Willing and able to work overtime to complete projects and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Proven experience with all aspects of production powder coat painting is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience troubleshooting problems with the electrostatic gun is a plus.
  • Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Apply powder utilizing powder coating equipment within the booth to achieve a quality paint finish.
  • Work in all cells on the paint line, including loading/unloading the line, steam cleaning parts, applying rivets, and retrieving/delivering parts carts.
  • Perform wet spray-painting of various components and sub-assemblies of Lantech equipment.
