About The Position
This role is for a Painter on the second shift. The Painter will be responsible for retrieving parts, preparing weldments for coating, applying various surface coatings, and maintaining spray guns and equipment. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, work independently, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time. This includes standing, kneeling, lifting, bending, and using your hands and working with various materials.
- Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary
- Ability to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends required
- Extremely detailed orientated
- Able to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
- Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane
- 3+ years of painting experience using a spray gun
- Familiar with and previous use of hand tools including grinder, sander, etc.
- Ability to work independently without supervision
Responsibilities
- Retrieves parts from staging areas
- Helps prep weldments for priming and finish coating
- Read and understand units of measure
- Applies a variety of surface coatings
- Maintains spray guns and equipment
