One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, is seeking a Painter to join the team! The Painter is responsible for interior and exterior painting, floor reconditioning, and various projects. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, maintains safety standards, and completes projects on schedule and within scope.

Requirements

5+ years of professional painting experience
Expert knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and application techniques
Ability to read work orders, and project specifications
Follow OSHA and Vermont state laws, regulations and statutes
Ability to Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
RRPM lead paint certified or the ability to acquire necessary certifications
Climb ladders, kneel, crouch and get into tight spaces and perform repairs on varied surfaces.
Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Strength & Stamina: Ability to handle heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing of equipment.
Dexterity & Coordination: Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise application and steady hand strength for using tools.
Mobility & Positioning: Working in uncomfortable or confined spaces.
Vision: Close vision, color vision, and depth perception to ensure quality finishes.
Safety Compliance: Ability to wear protective equipment and work in varied weather conditions.
Conditions: Exposure to dust, paint fumes, and varied temperatures, especially outdoors.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
Apply paint, stains, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Use safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Communicate progress, issues, and changes to Lead Painter
Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups as necessary
