One of the most beloved resorts in New England, The Woodstock Inn & Resort, is seeking a Painter to join the team! The Painter is responsible for interior and exterior painting, floor reconditioning, and various projects. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, maintains safety standards, and completes projects on schedule and within scope.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional painting experience
  • Expert knowledge of surface preparation, coatings, and application techniques
  • Ability to read work orders, and project specifications
  • Follow OSHA and Vermont state laws, regulations and statutes
  • Ability to Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • RRPM lead paint certified or the ability to acquire necessary certifications
  • Climb ladders, kneel, crouch and get into tight spaces and perform repairs on varied surfaces.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Strength & Stamina: Ability to handle heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing of equipment.
  • Dexterity & Coordination: Excellent hand-eye coordination for precise application and steady hand strength for using tools.
  • Mobility & Positioning: Working in uncomfortable or confined spaces.
  • Vision: Close vision, color vision, and depth perception to ensure quality finishes.
  • Safety Compliance: Ability to wear protective equipment and work in varied weather conditions.
  • Conditions: Exposure to dust, paint fumes, and varied temperatures, especially outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
  • Apply paint, stains, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Use safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Communicate progress, issues, and changes to Lead Painter
  • Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups as necessary
