About The Position

Clean, prepare, paint and detail machines, parts, and components. This role involves prepping machines prior to paint or detail assignments, painting machines for customers and Empire functions, and detailing cabs on machines and components. The Painter will also be responsible for maintaining equipment for the Utility wash rack and Paint shop, monitoring and ordering supplies for these areas, and ensuring all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

Skills required in commercial spray painting.
Skills required in biding and estimating paint jobs.
Working knowledge of cleaning, surface preparation and spray-painting operations.
Ability to operate machines and power equipment.
Ability to climb on large machines.
Ability to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
Acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements.
Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Must be able to obtain forklift operator license.
Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
Must be able to wear a tight-fitting respirator and pass the OSHA required medical evaluation.
Corrective glasses and/or goggles must not interfere with the seal of the face piece to the face of the employee.
Must not have facial hair that comes between the sealing surface of the face piece and the face.

Responsibilities

Order supplies.
Submit necessary reports, records, and data.
Operate machines and vehicles.
Own and maintain personal required tools.
