About The Position

Courion is seeking an industrial painter, who under the direction of the Gates and Hardware Supervisor will be responsible for painting freight doors. Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness of all freight doors before painting
  • Removing rust and other loose materials using acid or a wire brush.
  • Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be sprayed.
  • Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed.
  • Selecting and mixing the required coating liquids.
  • Spraying freight doors using industry techniques
  • Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job.
  • Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried.
  • Other duties as assigned.
