About The Position

Reports and takes direction from the Painting Supervisor and is responsible for the painting, finishing and refinishing work for all of the Building Authority properties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience and working knowledge with general painting finish painting and refinishing work.
• Previous experience and working knowledge with electrostatic and roll and brush equipment.
• Basic carpentry skills, including ability to read a measuring tape and operate basic power tools
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License
• Ability to work well with other fellow employees, outside vendors, contractors, and customers.
• Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
• Ability to lift up to at least 50 (fifty) pounds.
• Technical skills -the expertise necessary to perform a specific role.
• Solid work ethic - a set of values based on the ideals of discipline and hard work.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair and alteration work to include; Interior and exterior painting, Vinyl wall covering repair and installation, Vinyl base installation, Plaster and drywall patching, Interior and exterior caulking
• Assist other shops with maintenance repair.
• Comply with Building Authority policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• To perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Paint Supervisor.
