About The Position

Madden's is an award-winning resort seeking a full-time Painter to maintain and beautify resort buildings. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying various paints and finishes, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The Painter will work with a variety of tools and collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
Ability to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
Follow all company and government safety guidelines and requirements.
Effectively use a variety of paint and drywall tools; follow oral and/or written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.

Responsibilities

Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures and floors, applying tape to protect surfaces.
Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and repairing holes and cracks.
Apply latex and oil-based paints and varnishes.
Finish newly hung drywall by taping joints and applying joint compound.
Fix blemishes on walls and ceilings by skim coating and sanding.
Ensure all areas and equipment is clean at the end of day.
Must be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
Performs other duties as required.
