Requirements

High school diploma
2+ years’ experience working in a paint shop with manual air-guns
Good sense of judgment and capacity to evaluate problems
Must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR directives.

Responsibilities

Prepares and spray-paints parts or assemblies such as landing gear, hydraulic cylinders, and detail parts.
Prepares various parts by performing identification and broaching operations on parts to be painted or in preparation for delivery.
Carries out a visual inspection of the part to be painted and ensures it is properly cleaned.
Adjusts pistols, prepares required mixtures according to prescribed standards, and cleans parts.
Performs occasional masking and demasking operations.
Prepares mixtures of transparent sealant (CLEAR) and those required for cosmetic painting (retouching), and performs their application using provided equipment (manual or mechanical).
Paints small (~2 foot) to large (~12 foot) titanium and steel parts using an HVLP gravity fed spray gun.
Maintains AS9100 documentation and quality standards.
