About The Position

The Painter is responsible for determining the best methods, techniques, devices, and materials for surface finishing. This role involves performing all prep and paint procedures to ensure a high-quality finish, consistent with OEM standards, without the need for rework. The Painter will also be responsible for disassembling and reassembling parts, prepping projects by removing contaminants, and selecting/operating the correct spray gun for the material being applied. Additional duties may be assigned as needed or at management discretion.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE AUTO COLLISION EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team to meet shared objectives
  • Ability to work independently as well as parts of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Willing and able to pass a thorough background check

Responsibilities

  • Determines the methods, techniques, devices and materials that are best suited for the surface finish
  • Performs all prep and paint procedures and operations to ensure top quality finish
  • Refinishes to a level consistent to OEM finish without rework (no buffing, no runs, no dirt)
  • Performs disassembly and reassembly procedures
  • Preps projects for paint by removing grease, dirt, paint, rust
  • Removes accessories such as chrome or mirrors
  • Selects/operates correct spray gun for the material being applied
  • Performs additional duties as needed
