About The Position

The Painter is responsible for the quality of their own work and performing tasks in accordance with Travelers/Operation sheets. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques and equipment operation, as well as adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. The Painter must also be able to lift moderate weight, perform repetitive tasks, and possess specific vision abilities and manual dexterity.

Requirements

Minimum prior experience / technical education or the ability to learn on the job.
Regularly lift 30-50 pounds.
Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Successful use of respirator and pass pulmonary function exam.

Responsibilities

Perform work in accordance with Travelers / Operation sheets.
Achieve proficiency in handling, operation, and maintenance of Binks 2001/2001V Spray Gun, EGHV-531 HVLP Spray Gun, and Devilbiss KB II Two Quart Pressure Cup.
Master proper techniques for checking viscosity and recording procedures for Eddy Current of HAE Coating.
Perform touch-up painting, including Chrome Pickle.
Utilize, care for, and maintain the Survivair Air Purifying Respirator (Premier Model).
Conduct surface preparation, masking, painting, and curing according to customer-specific requirements.
Ensure production travelers are properly signed for accountability.
Use and care in the handling of components.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Take responsibility for the care and use of calibrated measuring instruments and ensure their timely return for calibration.
Observe all safety requirements in the shop area and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Perform all other duties as required.
