About The Position

Rocking Horse Ranch Resort has an immediate opening for an experienced painter. This role involves a variety of tasks to maintain the appearance and integrity of the resort's facilities.

Requirements

• A deep understanding of the various types of paint, stain, joint compound, and other products
• Ability to work clean and efficiently in a fast-paced, high turnover environment
• High level of communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize various jobs
• Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, possible overnights, and on-call
• Physical capacity to navigate around a 300+ acre resort with mountain activities and diverse weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Applying paint, stain, sealers, and other materials using brushes and rollers
• Surface preparation including washing, sanding, scraping, priming and filling holes
• Sheet rocking and taping
• Furniture touchup using stain, wood glue, and other materials
• Removing and reinstalling various fixtures, such as outlet covers, door knobs and hinges, access panels, etc.
• Light maintenance, including but not limited to installing light bulbs, nailing trim pieces, and fixing fence posts
• Working in conjunction with all other departments around the resort, especially the maintenance and housekeeping teams
