About The Position

The painter is responsible for spraying surfaces of manufactured products with paint coating using an airless assisted sprayer and maintains a contamination free work area. The painter is responsible for meeting customers deadlines and ensuring the product meets or exceeds customers expectations.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Ability to read gauges.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Attention to detail.
Must be medically certified and fit tested to wear a respirator per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

Spraying surfaces of manufactured products with paint coating using an airless assisted sprayer.
Maintaining a contamination free work area.
Meeting customer deadlines.
Ensuring the product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
Having common knowledge of different types of finishing equipment/industrial painting equipment.
Being medically certified and fit tested to wear a respirator per OSHA standards.
Using appropriate measuring instruments.
Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Understanding and following all regulations pertaining to finishing chemicals being used.
Reporting workplace hazards, injuries, illnesses, and near miss incidents immediately to the direct supervisor.
Adhering to a strict schedule to ensure all customer orders are on time.
Finishing product without defect.
Cleaning spray equipment and brushes with solvent and rebuilding spray guns.
Filling out daily paint logs, respirator logs, and paint inventory.
Replacing paint booth filters.
Notifying appropriate personnel of any part or equipment abnormalities.
Maintaining and inspecting equipment.
Tagging finished goods.
Moving material and counting inventory.
Performing other duties as assigned.
