About The Position

The Painter applies promoters, paints, and sealants and assembles detail parts and hardware onto components according to manufacturing instructions and engineering drawings, company procedures, and safety policies. The role also involves preparing and finishing components, using tools and precision measuring equipment, and packaging components for shipment after final inspection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Basic math and geometry knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and determine the tools and support equipment needed to complete processing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and other specifications to determine layouts and operation sequences.
• Knowledge of hardware typically used according to instructions.
• Experience fabricating components by cutting, trimming, filing, bending, and smoothing parts while verifying sizes and tolerances for proper fit and clearance.

• Elementary knowledge of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply sealants, paints, and primers according to manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Touch up painted components to ensure surfaces are clean and free of debris before shipment.
• Set up, operate, and maintain power tools and other necessary equipment.
• Install fasteners, including rivets, nuts, and bolts, as needed.
• Use hand tools such as rivet guns, drill presses, hand drills, and grinders.
• Use precision inspection measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and bore gages.
• Package and ship components after final inspection.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
