About The Position

Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resorts are beautiful RV resorts by the water, located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego. We are looking for a full-time, dedicated painter to join our team. This role involves applying various finishes to property surfaces, preparing surfaces, removing old finishes, and coordinating color modifications. The painter will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing surfaces, managing supply inventory, and adhering to all company and safety policies. Additionally, the role requires excellent customer service skills, including welcoming guests, addressing their needs, and communicating professionally.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Basic experience in painting and other wall covering techniques.
Knowledge of paint, varnish, stain, masonry work and other related products as well as application and mixing procedures of such products.
Ability to perform basic carpentry and drywall tasks.
Working knowledge of basic hand tools and other equipment including: brushes, rollers, scrapers, sandpaper, spray guns, lifts, etc.
Considerable knowledge of OSHA standards and application for working with chemicals.
Basic English language communication skills in order to fully comprehend job assignments, read and understand manufacturer instructions in preparing and mixing paint or masonry products, and adhere to safety warnings.

Responsibilities

Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, and wire brushing.
Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
Coordinate with managers to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.
Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, wood, and masonry surfaces.
Manage related supply inventory.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Speak with others using clear and professional language.
Support team to reach common goals.
