About The Position

The Painter / Wash Rack Tech works under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance/Facilities Manager. The role ensures sanitation bins and miscellaneous equipment are painted as required and that the facility and equipment are consistently maintained in a clean, safe state and comply with company and OSHA standards.

The position is based in a non-climate-controlled building and involves extended periods of standing, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and using manual dexterity to operate hand tools at different angles, including overhead. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Requirements

• Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to prepare metal surfaces through grinding, filling, and sanding.
• Ability to spray liquid paint.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to convey Tiger Sanitation as the obvious choice for customers, employees, and the community.
• Ability to demonstrate decision-making skills aligned with Tiger Sanitation’s 4 Step Decision Making Process.
• Familiarity with shop equipment.
• Ability to act independently and collaborate with coworkers.
• Ability to prioritize activities to achieve individual and team expectations and goals.
• Class “C” Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience (preferred).
• Forklift certification (recommended).
