About The Position

Bayer Built Woodworks is hiring a full-time Painter/Sprayer to apply paint to doors, frames, and miscellaneous products in a pre-finish facility. The role includes checking paint, acetone, and catalyst levels daily; maintaining spray equipment and booths; and completing quality checks before and after spraying. The Painter/Sprayer works with other sprayers to meet daily production needs, maintains a clean work area, and assists other areas as needed. The schedule is workload-dependent, typically 35–60 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Start time is typically between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m., and the end time varies with production needs. The shop is heated but not air-conditioned, with spray booths and concrete floors. Safety glasses are required, and a respirator must be worn when spraying.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of previous experience.
Proper and consistent spray technique.
Ability to identify and know colors.
Product knowledge.
Ability to read paperwork.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Check paint, acetone, and catalyst levels daily.
Maintain paint levels.
Perform general spray equipment maintenance and maintain spray booths.
Spray paint doors, frames, and miscellaneous products.
Conduct quality checks before and after spraying and meet customer quality expectations.
Work with other sprayers to complete daily production needs before cleanup.
Work at a steady pace and finish the day's production.
Maintain a clean work area and complete daily cleanup and housekeeping, including booth and paper cleanup.
Watch the production line.
Help other departments and areas as needed.
