About The Position

The painter/sandblaster will clean, sandblast, prep and paint locomotives and locomotive components. Currently hiring for night shift (Mon-Thu, 8pm - 6am). Requirements

High School Education or GED
Ability to work around and operate overhead cranes and mobile equipment
Ability to utilize pressure washers, pressurized paint delivery systems, sandblaster and other equipment
Must use a full face respirator with filter or fresh air

Nice To Haves

Certification in industrial painting or auto body
Industrial paint or auto body collision experience preferred

Responsibilities

Wash & clean locomotive and locomotive components
Prep locomotive and components before painting
Paint and clear coat locomotives and components
Install decals
Work with little or no supervision consistently, accurately, and safely
Read precision instruments, micrometers, and gauges accurately, and safely
Keep work area clean and organized consistently and safely
Complete and document jobs in a timely manner per traveler requirements/QWI’s/work instructions consistently, accurately, and safely
