About The Position

Responsible for all facets of paint, base spray foam and powder coating parts and fixtures. This role involves preparing and painting components, parts, fixtures, door jambs, base extrusion, base frames, and finished products according to specifications. The position requires adherence to established process procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and environmental regulations. The Painter/Powder Coater will operate and maintain various paint spraying, foam spraying, and powder coating equipment, including spray booths and bake ovens. Responsibilities also include accurate record-keeping, material handling, quality assurance, inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The role may also involve assisting in other factory operations to ensure workflow and meet production demands.

Responsibilities

Preparation and painting of components, parts, fixtures, door jambs, base extrusion, base frames, and finished products.
Following established process procedures and manufacturer recommendations for coating products.
Adhering to environmental procedures and processes.
Using various hand and power tools.
Set-up, operation, and maintenance of all paint spraying equipment.
Performing maintenance on paint/foam spray booths, including filter changes and interior cleaning.
Accurate completion of daily Spray Log (Paint Spray Booth (SB2)).
Accurate completion of Shift Readings Log (Paint Spray Booth (SB2)).
Performing material handling procedures safely and effectively.
Adhering to the Munters Quality System.
Completing quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
Inventory control related to paint, foam, and powder.
Ensuring accurate daily reporting of employee labor to specific work orders.
Maintaining a safe and organized work area.
Notifying supervisors of any issues concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
Preparation of work surfaces for foam spraying and masking of areas not to be sprayed.
Set-up and operation of Graco – Reactor2 H-50 (Plural Components Proportioner) spray foam system.
Maintenance and calibration of the Graco – Reactor2 H-50 spray foam system and accessory spray guns.
Validating spray foam application meets specifications.
Inventory control for spray foam tank Kanban and spare parts.
Preparation and painting of parts, fixtures, and frames to meet customer requirements for powder coating.
Setup and operation of Powder Coating Equipment.
Maintenance of powder coating equipment, spray booth, and bake oven.
Performing pre-coat, in-process, and finished quality inspections.
Accurate tagging of parts after the coating process.
Inventory control for on-hand colored powder, spray booth filters, and spare parts for powder coating equipment.
Performing or assisting with operations throughout the factory to maintain workflow and meet schedules.
Maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
Operating in accordance with all safety rules and requirements.
Participating in meetings and work groups for training, issue resolution, and staying informed on developments and policies.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
