About The Position
Luther Village, a premier independent senior living community in Arlington Heights, is seeking a skilled and dependable Painter & Maintenance Technician to join our Plant Operations team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, attractive, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and guests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 3 years of painting experience preferred
- General maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s license preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior painting, staining, and wall covering
- Prepare and repair surfaces, including drywall, plaster, and sheetrock
- Restore vacated apartments to move-in-ready condition
- Complete general maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile work, and irrigation systems
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly and professionally
- Assist with preventive maintenance and seasonal duties, including snow removal
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and organized condition
- Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and coworkers
