About The Position

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of JLL-managed facilities. This position is responsible for executing general building repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and regulatory requirements, and supporting the operations team in delivering exceptional service to our clients. You will work collaboratively with operational staff to maintain building systems, respond to maintenance requests efficiently, and uphold the high standards that define JLL's commitment to creating and maintaining world-class facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance
  • Experienced painter with skills in basic drywall repair, basic trim/millwork repair, and basic flooring repair
  • Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs, lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 40 ft. and work from heights
  • Ability to climb a ladder with a 300-lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Physical capability for frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety procedures and policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas
  • Assist operational staff members in basic room and common area repair and maintenance, including building aesthetics, painting, drywall repair, trim/millwork repair, and basic flooring repair
  • Use a computerized maintenance management work order system (CMMS) to open and close work orders, maintaining records for completed work in a neat and organized manner
  • Maintain tools, order supplies as required for various room repairs, keep logs, document equipment repairs, track time accurately in reports, and provide timely and constant communication with the Facility Manager and Lead Engineer
  • Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested while recognizing danger and safety hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions and ensuring compliance with all required maintenance and safety audits
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
