About The Position

The Painter II prepares, cleans, and checks the quality of parts before and after they travel through the paint line. The role prepares parts for powder coating or wet painting, applies powder coat to bare metal, and handles parts through the paint line while ensuring they are correctly matched with documentation. The position works at different workstations as production needs require and maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area while following required safety practices.

Responsibilities

Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning them with lacquer thinner and rags.
Hang prepped parts on the paint line.
Apply powder coat to bare metal.
Remove painted parts from the paint line and match them with the correct documentation.
Identify poor-quality parts.
Identify maintenance needs for equipment and tooling.
Work at different workstations as production needs require.
Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
Use the proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the individual's product line or work cell.
Perform other duties as assigned.
