About The Position
Painter I will utilize work instructions, technical data, and experience to support production by painting aircraft landing gear components. This includes the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during operations. Painter must properly document work performed, update daily logs, and support preparation for final inspection of parts. This is a 2nd shift position, with working hours from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.
Requirements
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED
- 1 or more years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to speak, read and understand English
Nice To Haves
- Ability to interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic tools
Responsibilities
- Install components using tools, equipment and other special tools as required
- Clean parts by steam and/or solvent cleaning in accordance with overhaul manual and GR specifications
- Interpret blueprints and overhaul manuals for disassembly purposes
- Operate hand tools, electrical and pneumatic tools
- Speak, read and understand English
- Properly document work performed
- Update daily logs
- Support preparation for final inspection of parts
