About The Position

The Painter Helper supports painting projects for a variety of equipment, materials, structures, and surfaces. The role involves preparing work areas and materials, assisting with paint setup and application, operating tools and equipment, and monitoring the finish through drying, curing, and final inspection. The Painter Helper also works alongside and trains with other painters and performs housekeeping as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sand and clean materials and work areas; prepare projects and gather and carry materials to the work area.
• Prepare and set up paint projects for various materials according to production and client specifications.
• Prepare and apply paint to equipment, materials, structures, and surfaces using brushes, spray equipment, and other painting tools.
• Use and operate various tools and equipment.
• Monitor finish quality, including drying and curing, and perform final inspections.
• Assist, partner, and train with other painters on departmental projects.
• Perform housekeeping as necessary.
