About The Position
STP is seeking dependable Construction Laborers and Painter Helpers to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in commercial construction and painting while working alongside experienced professionals. Candidates will assist with a variety of tasks on commercial job sites, including preparation work, material handling, job site cleanup, and supporting painters and tradespeople to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous construction, painting, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel up to one hour to job sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Assist painters and crew members with daily job site tasks.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, patching, and cleaning.
- Move and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
- Set up and break down work areas.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
- Follow safety guidelines and instructions from supervisors.
- Perform general construction labor tasks as needed.
