About The Position

Dawes Rigging and Crane Rental, Inc. is hiring a Painter and Paint Surface Prepper to work on various construction-related equipment in a body shop environment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The role prepares equipment, products, and assemblies for painting; performs priming, painting, and sandblasting; and assembles and inspects products to ensure they meet company quality standards. The employee also maintains compliance with safety requirements and applicable regulations and performs other duties around the shop and yard as needed. The company is willing to train and mentor candidates with knowledge of commonly used painting practices and procedures.

The position requires working 40 hours per week and overtime as needed. Candidates must be able to work with and lift fully loaded spray guns, use a respirator or fresh-air system around spray paints, remain on their feet for extended periods, access areas of heavy construction equipment by stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures in painting operations.
• Ability to use and lift fully loaded spray guns.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on heavy construction equipment to access different areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime as needed.
