About The Position

Production Castings, Inc. is hiring a dependable Paint Utility team member for our manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on production position supporting our paint department by preparing parts, loading and unloading paint racks, assisting with paint line changeovers, packaging finished products, and keeping materials moving efficiently through production. Enjoy a consistent 4-day workweek with Fridays off! Previous paint department experience is not required. If you're dependable, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and willing to learn, we'll provide the training you need to be successful.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing, material-handling, or paint department experience is helpful, but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare castings and components for painting, including cleaning, masking, hanging, and staging parts.
  • Load and unload wet paint racks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with paint line setups and rack changeovers.
  • Operate and monitor the burn-off oven following established procedures.
  • Package finished painted products according to customer requirements.
  • Move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products throughout the department.
  • Visually inspect parts before and after painting for obvious defects or quality concerns.
  • Assist Painters, Paint Inspectors, and other team members to keep production moving.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, and other material-handling equipment after proper training and authorization.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas using established 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow company safety procedures, environmental requirements, and PPE guidelines.
  • Assist in other production areas when needed.
