About The Position

The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing components and parts for primer and paint, matching colors, mixing paint, applying epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat, and delivering finished components and parts to their respective locations. This role requires adherence to strict safety and environmental guidelines, adaptability to changing schedules, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The technician will also participate in and support safety initiatives, report hazards, and follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, and PPE compliance. The working conditions involve sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching, and occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 85 pounds. Repetitive hand movement, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing are also required. The technician will operate paint removal and application equipment, common hand tools, and various shop and office machines. Potential hazards include exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range

Responsibilities

  • Prepare components and parts for primer and paint

  • Deliver finished components and parts to their respective locations
  • Participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices, and compliance
  • Participate in safety activities, including immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices, and accidents/injuries
  • Follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance, and equipment operation requirements
  • Operate paint removal and application equipment, common hand tools, and various general shop and office machines/equipment
  • Other duties may be assigned in role to support other Painting Department, personnel or projects.
