The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing components and parts for primer and paint, matching colors, mixing paint, applying epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat, and delivering finished components and parts to their respective locations. This role requires adherence to strict safety and environmental guidelines, adaptability to changing schedules, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The technician will also participate in and support safety initiatives, report hazards, and follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, and PPE compliance. The working conditions involve sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching, and occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 85 pounds. Repetitive hand movement, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing are also required. The technician will operate paint removal and application equipment, common hand tools, and various shop and office machines. Potential hazards include exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.
