Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have adequate test scores in: Basic Math, Color, Mechanical, Assembly, Pegboard and Mechanical tests.
  • Must be able to stand/walk greater than 7.5 hours a day.
  • Must be able to perform finger and hand dexterity 80% in an 8 hour day.
  • Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull frequently.
  • Must be able to wear a Particulate Respirator and earplugs.
  • Must be able to wear safety glasses.
  • Must pass a physical exam in order to wear respirator equipment if hand spraying on paint line 3 “frequency as required per safety regulations”.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator for the full shift if hand spraying 7.5 hours per day.
  • Must be able to hand spray product manually holding arms up 7.5 hours per day.
  • Must be able to wear coveralls.
  • Must be able to work in a non-control plant. (High heat possible).
  • Must be able to 5’s daily.

Responsibilities

  • Producing a Quality painted part per Customer requirements.
  • Inspecting molded parts for defects prior to adhesive.
  • Cleaning parts with ionized air blowgun prior to loading parts on conveyer belt.
  • Moving and stacking full boxes of parts received from the Molding Dept.
  • Performing all manual startup preparations, including preparing adhesive, flocking, and setting up the computer.
  • Visually evaluating sprayed parts and adjusting spray gun and/or flocking gun or paint supply based on part evaluation and written set-up standards.
  • Cleaning adhesive line area, and other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor or cell lead.
  • Cross training on adhesive, flocking, and blow off as needed. Such duties include: hand spray adhesive, and hand spray flocking on manual line, filling and keeping adhesive supply pots full of adhesive stock, visual evaluation of sprayed and flock parts, and making adjustments on the spray guns based on part evaluation, check, troubleshoot, and maintenance of adhesive spray and supply equipment.
  • Loading mask washer, learning the equipment aspects and chemical levels. Learning all machines and how to assist in maintenance of said machines (Mask Washer Shaker Machine and Infrared Oven). Learning all functions of said machines.
  • Blow off, inspection, packing finished goods and production label creation.
