Norfolk Hardware & Home Center is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join their team. Whether you're experienced in paint sales or eager to learn, they will provide the training needed to succeed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, climb ladders, and stock merchandise.
- Operate paint mixing and color-matching equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or paint experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Willingness to learn paint products and color-matching systems.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to help customers.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selecting paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings.
- Mix and tint paint using computerized color-matching equipment.
- Recommend brushes, rollers, tape, caulk, and other painting supplies.
- Explain product features, coverage, application methods, and drying times.
- Keep the paint department clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Build attractive merchandise displays and assist with inventory.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while helping achieve department sales goals.
