About The Position
Norfolk Hardware & Home Center is looking for a friendly, customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves assisting customers with paint and related product selections, mixing and tinting paint, recommending supplies, and maintaining the department. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a willingness to learn, and a reliable, team-oriented attitude. Previous retail or paint experience is a plus.

- Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated to help customers.
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, climb ladders, and stock merchandise.
- Operate paint mixing and color-matching equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with selecting paints, stains, primers, and specialty coatings.
- Mix and tint paint using computerized color-matching equipment.
- Recommend brushes, rollers, tape, caulk, and other painting supplies.
- Explain product features, coverage, application methods, and drying times.
- Keep the paint department clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Build attractive merchandise displays and assist with inventory.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while helping achieve department sales goals.
