About The Position

The company is currently recruiting for a Paint Prepper to join our team on the day shift. The painter Prep reports directly to the supervisor. Requirements

Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Nice To Haves

Preferably a high school diploma (OSSD) or related equivalent experience.
Preferably minimum one year experience with painting prepping.

Responsibilities

Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
Review production schedule, including special instructions.
Ensure proper paint is utilized.
Paint all required sides of profile.
Keep work area clean.
Maintain a safe workplace.
Ensure paint gun is cleaned.
Inspect surface finish (i.e. missed paint surfaces, overspray, etc), advise Supervisor and/or Plant Manager as appropriate.
