Paint Prep Worker
About The Position
Forest River, Inc. is hiring a Paint Prep Worker to prepare recreational vehicles, trailers, buses, or boats for painting. The role involves removing parts that must come off for the paint process, masking areas that should not be painted, applying blue stain to fiberglass parts, sanding and scuffing surfaces, completing bodywork repairs, and cleaning units with appropriate chemicals. Requirements
- Be able to use a screw gun, DA sander, and hand block.
- Have a fast-paced work style and a mindset suited to learning quickly if being trained from scratch.

- Experience in a paint preparation environment.
- Bodywork experience.
- Experience in the recreational vehicle, trailer, transit bus, boat, or other manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities
- Remove parts from units that must be removed for the paint process.
- Cover parts and areas that should not be painted using tape, paper, and plastic.
- Apply blue stain to fiberglass parts.
- Sand and scuff all areas of the unit that are to be painted.
- Complete bodywork repairs that are found.
- Blow off and wash the unit with the correct chemicals.
