About The Position

Taylor Defense Products, part of the Taylor Group of Companies, provides products and support to the U.S. Military, its allies, and the U.S. government. This full-time Paint Prep Technician position is based in Louisville, Mississippi, and is on the day shift. The technician performs sanding and sandblasting according to the quality preprocess, disassembles small components, follows instructions and the can ban system, and uses part identification and inventory control systems. The role also includes repair work with hand tools, moving parts with a tow motor, maintaining maintenance records, and following the 5S program. Required protective equipment includes a face shield, respirator, safety glasses, and other required PPE.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Personal mechanic tools are required; specialized tools are provided by the company.
Must pass a pulmonary function test to wear a respirator.
Some overhead lifting is required.
Must be capable of stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

One year of auto body repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform sanding and sandblasting procedures according to the quality preprocess.
Disassemble small components such as valves and fittings.
Follow instructions and the can ban system.
Use part identification and inventory control systems.
Perform repair functions using hand tools.
Operate a tow motor to move parts to and from can ban locations.
Maintain records of all maintenance performed.
Adhere to the 5S program.
Wear a face shield, respirator, safety glasses, and other required PPE.
