About The Position

As a Pack Operator, you’ll be part of our Shelbyville Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to: Loads and unload blades at a productive rate, maintaining quality levels according to control plans, and using safe work ethics (PPE, MSDS and machine hazards). Visual quality inspection of each saw blade. Accurate updating of all move tags and piece counts. Responsible for identifying and communicating possible problems which may be perceived. Report any abnormal situations, including crashes, incorrect set-up, incorrect move tags or incorrect control plans. Operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines and equipment as needed while maintaining proper flow of product to meet service level goals Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates, exemplifying 6S principals Ensure all products meet specifications, maintain quality standards of product following quality assurance on FPI Properly fill out all documentation and labels Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred
Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages
Ability to read and follow blueprints and standard work instructions
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills
Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds
Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality
Flexibility to work overtime
