About The Position

This role involves managing and coordinating new program launches from design to launch, including design, line layouts, capital procurement, equipment programming, setup, and training. The engineer will interact with customers and suppliers, establish appropriate inventory levels for materials, tools, and equipment, and improve/support operations by developing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes to meet or exceed established metrics. This includes providing support to operators and technicians, identifying root causes and corrective actions for issues, and coordinating initiatives with other departments. The role also requires creating and maintaining process documentation, applying geometric dimensions and tolerances to product documentation, and evaluating/improving manufacturing methods.

Requirements

Proficient in paint machine operation, setup and programming.
Computer skills.
CAD/CAM including GD&T.
Manufacturing tooling design.
Lean concepts.
Experience in paint set up.
Robot programming.
Automation.
Logic.
Mechanical design.
Implementation.
Ability to develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, manufacturing methods and quality control standards.

Responsibilities

Coordinate new program launches from design to launch.

Coordinate and lead initiatives with other departments.
Create and maintain process documentation (tooling & operator instructions, etc.).
Apply proper geometric dimensions and tolerances to product documentation and designed components.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
