About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Paint & Body Technician to repair and refinish heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, trenchers, forklifts, and other machinery. The position is based primarily at the asset yard, with occasional travel to nearby job sites. The technician performs body, paint, and structural repairs, handles hazardous materials and waste in accordance with safety guidelines, and maintains accurate usage records and a safe, organized work area. Work is primarily outdoors and involves exposure to weather and physically demanding tasks. Personal protective equipment is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 to 5 years of experience with heavy equipment paint and body repair.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience.

Responsibilities

• Straighten, repair, or fabricate bent or broken body components.
• Build up dents or cracks in machine components with fiberglass or body fillers.
• Repair plastic, fiberglass, and metal components.
• Remove and replace mechanical components as needed for bodywork.
• Check alignment and straighten and align frame members and supports.
• Replace broken glass.
• Mix and apply paints using spray equipment.
• Prepare surfaces, including sanding and blasting as needed.
• Mask and paint machinery to manufacturer or company standards.
• Polish and buff finished coats.
• Handle hazardous materials and wastes in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of material and equipment usage.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
