About The Position

As a Pain Medicine Physician at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. You can anticipate practicing general outpatient pain care, treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal, spine, joint, and other pain conditions (this includes cancer, abdominal, pelvic, and fibromyalgia pain) with both fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and EMG guided procedures along with dedicated clinic time. Our pain management team practices in a state-of-the-art facility, providing advanced procedures and innovative therapies to design treatment plans that are customized to our patients’ specific needs and address the full continuum of care. This is an interdisciplinary pain medicine team consisting of 10 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APPs). You will practice at the LDS Hospital campus in Salt Lake City, Utah with your primary work location at the Fairborne Clinic. You can anticipate working standing clinic hours; Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week. There are clinic call requirements that will be assigned by the Medical Director with possible coverage at the Salt Lake and Alta View Clinic. APPs will participate in a shared Salt Lake area schedule, providing clinic support across locations as needed.

Requirements

  • Board certified or board eligible in PM&R & Pain Medicine
  • ACGME fellowship-trained in pain medicine
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

Responsibilities
