About The Position
Munson Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, or Anesthesiology physician to join our practice in Traverse City, Michigan. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, a collaborative approach, and an interest in helping develop and advance a comprehensive pain management program that meets the evolving needs of our patients and communities.
Requirements
- BC/BE in Physical Medicine and Rehab (PM&R), Physiatry, Interventional Pain, or Anesthesiology
- MD or DO Licensed to practice medicine in WIMI license or eligible for medication licensure in the State of Michigan
- All employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of acute and chronic pain conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, incorporating medical history, physical examination, imaging, and diagnostic findings to guide care.
- Create personalized treatment strategies designed to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
- Utilize advanced interventional techniques, including fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided procedures, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), joint injections, and other pain management therapies.
- Guide patients through their care journey by clearly communicating diagnoses, treatment options, expected outcomes, and follow-up recommendations.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches based on response, changing needs, and clinical outcomes.
- Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other clinical professionals to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
- Ensure continuity of care through effective communication, care coordination, and timely clinical documentation.
- Group call 1:4 rotation for after hour patient needs.
