About The Position

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG), a physician-led group of more than 1,800 physicians serving Kaiser Permanente patients in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., is hiring a part-time Pain Management specialist for its Tysons Corner Medical Center. The specialist will join the established Complex Pain Program, a multidisciplinary outpatient practice providing non-interventional pain management, with an emphasis on medication management and comprehensive chronic pain care.

The role involves collaboration with Pharmacy, Nursing, and Psychology to provide comprehensive, patient-centered treatment. The schedule is approximately 50% virtual and 50% in-person patient visits, with no call, no weekends, and an average of 8–10 patients per day. The starting hourly rate is $144; compensation considers skills, qualifications, degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. MAPMG provides professional liability coverage at no cost and concierge support for obtaining required state, CDS, and DEA licenses.

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pain Management.
• Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of experience.
• Fellowship training in Pain Management or Addiction Medicine.
