Pain Management APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
About The Position
New York Spine & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Management APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our multidisciplinary team in Central New York. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, with daytime hours and no weekends or on-call requirements. The role involves conducting comprehensive clinical evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, assisting with procedures, and educating patients. The center offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $160,000 based on experience, along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- Current, active New York State Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license.
- DEA registration and active prescriptive authority in New York.
- Previous clinical experience in pain management, neurology, orthopedics, or physiatry is strongly preferred; dedicated new graduates with strong clinical rotations in specialty care will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, physical assessments, and diagnostics for patients suffering from acute and chronic spine and musculoskeletal pain.
- Develop and manage multi-disciplinary, individualized treatment plans including medication management, therapeutic interventions, and coordination with physical therapy and behavioral health.
- Assist with or perform minor in-office procedures and coordinate interventional treatments alongside our team of board-certified pain physicians and physiatrists.
- Educate patients on risk factors, treatment goals, and safe medication practices while maintaining thorough and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).
