About The Position

This 10-week internship engagement, from May 2026 to August 2026, offers an opportunity to build an early career at Opella, where interns are trusted, supported, and given space to make an impact. As a Pain Innovation Intern, you will directly contribute to work that simplifies, smartens, and humanizes self-care for millions. The role involves supporting the Pain Innovation Team in developing and evaluating product attributes and clinical benefits for the US OTC portfolio, aligning with category strategy and consumer needs. You will provide support to an R&D Lead, contributing across multiple categories and functional areas as needed. A key deliverable will be preparing and presenting a final project focused on a relevant topic within Opella’s OTC business by the end of the internship.

Requirements

  • Must be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and/or combination of mechanical engineering and material science at an accredited university with plans to graduate in near future.
  • Must have permanent US work authorization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively on a team.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills – know how to prioritize.
  • Dare to ask questions (Curious. Courageous).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pain Innovation Team in the development and testing of product attributes and clinical benefits for the US product portfolio in line with the category vision and consumer needs.
  • Assist across categories and disciplines as needed.
  • Responsible for presenting one key topic relevant to Opella’s OTC business by the close of the internship.
