About The Position

Go Fish is seeking a Sr. Director, Paid Search to lead strategy, performance, and innovation across a portfolio of clients and teams. This role is responsible for driving measurable business impact through paid search while shaping the future of how we approach search in an evolving, automation-driven landscape. As a senior leader, you’ll oversee team performance, guide strategic direction, and serve as a trusted partner to both clients and internal stakeholders. You’ll play a critical role in scaling best practices, unlocking growth opportunities, and ensuring paid search is fully integrated within broader marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of experience in paid search or performance marketing and agency experience
  • Deep expertise across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and modern search tactics
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage performance across multiple accounts
  • Strong strategic thinking with a focus on business impact and growth
  • Experience navigating industry changes such as automation and privacy shifts
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to internal P&L management
  • Deep knowledge in Social, Organic, and/or Programmatic
  • Experience with third-party attribution or incrementality tools
  • Experience with TrueClicks
  • Experience with Funnel and data automations + proficient in excel

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve paid search strategy across clients, verticals, and teams
  • Ensure alignment between search initiatives and broader business and marketing goals
  • Establish frameworks for planning, testing, optimization, and measurement
  • Guide investment strategy, including budget allocation and prioritization
  • Oversee performance across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring goals are consistently met or exceeded
  • Identify and unlock opportunities for growth, efficiency, and scale
  • Build and implement scalable frameworks to solve complex performance challenges
  • Partner on upsell and new business opportunities to drive account and agency growth
  • Stay ahead of industry trends including automation, AI, and signal loss
  • Define how the team adapts to changes in the search and media landscape
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and partnerships
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Managers, Sr. Managers, and Directors
  • Design team structures and ensure proper resourcing across accounts
  • Drive consistency in quality, performance, and execution across teams
  • Support career growth, training, and ongoing skill development
  • Act as a senior strategic partner to key client stakeholders
  • Influence marketing strategy, investment decisions, and long-term planning
  • Connect paid search performance to broader business outcomes
