Paid On-Call Firefighters play an important role in protecting lives and property by responding to fires, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergency situations. Firefighters also participate in regular training, maintain equipment, and engage with the community in support of the Ramsey Fire Department’s mission. No prior firefighting experience is required. Paid training is provided, including attendance at the Anoka County Fire Academy, giving you the skills and experience needed to serve your community safely and effectively. Positions are available at: Station #1: 15050 Armstrong Boulevard Station #2: 5650 Alpine Drive NW The starting wage listed reflects the 2026 rate of pay at $14.90 per hour during the first year of probation/training, with a top wage of $18.22 per hour. The 2027 rate of pay is pending approval as part of the City’s 2027 budget process. Interested in serving your community?
